Comment

Butterfield Ranch Resort RV Campground is open all year with approximately 250 cabins, tenting, and RV camp spots.  Group camp spots are also available.  The campground has a small camp store and horse corrals.  Campground roads and parking pads are all dirt.  Many camp spots do have some shade.  Full hookup camp spots are available for RV's.  The campground store has all the necessities including firewood and ice.  Most cellular carriers do not have service in this area.

This campground is 20 to 30 miles from the nearest gas station.  Travel to this campground is on mostly country roads.  The campground is located in the high desert so it can be very hot during the summer months.  Night skies don't get much better than this.  The star viewing is great.  Mount Palomar Observatory is about 40 miles from this location.

Local Recreation:

Horsebacking is popular from this campground because of the corrals and trails available.

Blair Valley in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park is just 5 miles north of the campground.  Hiking is popular in the area.  Off-roading is not allowed.
