Description

California, Bodega Dunes Campground, Sonoma Coast State Park. The campground is located in a good spot with one side on Bodega Bay and the other side of the campground with access to the Pacific Ocean. 

Directions

From downtown Bodego Bay proceed north on Highway-1.  After approximately one mile the campground entrance road will be on the left side of the highway.

Comment

Bodega Dunes Campground has 99 dry RV or tent campsites available.  The campground has showers, restrooms, and a dump station. Maximum trailer length is 31'.   RV hook-ups are not available.  Reservations are available through ReserveAmerica.  The surf is dangerous at this location.  Swimming or surfing off the beach is not recommended.  The campground has both access to Bodega Bay and the Pacific Ocean.  The Pacific Ocean beach is a mile drive all on park roads.  Access to Bodega Bay is through walking trails. Most camp spots have large shade trees.  Pets are allowed.

Local Recreation:

Bodega Bay has several charter and whale watching boats available.  There is also the Westside Boating Facility available to launch boats or kayaks. 

Road touring is popular on Pacific Coast Highway(Highway-1). 

The Point Reyes National Seashore is just 20 miles south of the campground on Highway-1.  The national forest has beaches, forests, shorelines, and lighthouses to explore.
