Buckeye Flat Campground has 28 TENT ONLY camp sites.  No RV sites.  Most Camp spots are deep enough to fit a standard vehicle length.  Open from May through September.  Camp spots are reservable through www.recreation.gov.  The campground has river access.  Camp roads and parking pads are all paved.  Most Camp spots have shade trees.  Each Camp spot has a bear box and bears do visit the campground.  The closest small town is Three Rivers located approximately 15 miles Southwest of the campground.  Three Rivers has fuel, markets, and restaurants.  There is no cellular service from this remote location.

There are three gas stations in the National Park.  Kings Canyon Lodge, Hume Lake, and Stony Creek Village.  Diesel is available at the last two.  The NPS map indicates that fuel is available at Grant Grove Village however, Campbase could not find a gas station at that location.  Campbase recommends filling your vehicles fuel tank before entering the National Park.

Dump stations are located at Potwisha, Lodgepole, Princess, and Dorst Creek campgrounds.  There is a $10 fee to dump at some locations.

Bear boxes are provided in every campground in the park.  All food must be stored in these boxes unless it's kept out of sight in an RV.  Food may not be left out at any time.  Additional bear rules and information can be found at the restrooms.  Do not feed the bears at any time.

Pets are ok in the campground but, not allowed on most trails.

Reservations: Go online to Recreation.gov or Reserveamerica.com or call toll free: 877-444-6777 (TDD 877-833-6777).
