Cape Blanco Horse Camp is open all year with 8 horse camping spots.  The horse camp is located beside the larger campground where there are restrooms, showers, and drinking water.  The horse camp has horse stalls at each site.  Campers must have horses to stay on these camp spots.  There are also horse trails in the park and beaches for horsebacking available.  The campground is remote without services of any kind in the nearby area.  The closest small town is Port Orford located approximately eight miles south on Highway-101.  See additional information on Cape Blanco State Park Campground by clicking here.

This campground may have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hatinsect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.

Note: The dump station was out of service during our visit.
