Comment

Cotillion Gardens RV Park is open all year with approximately 80 RV and tent camp spots.  Cabins are also available.  Most camp spots have full hookups.  The park is near the San Lorenzo River and the Henry Cowell Redwood State Park.  There are numerous large Redwood trees in the park. There is a camp store and clubhouse available to campers.  Camp spots are well groomed.  Hiking and biking in the Henrey Cowell Redwood State Park are the most popular activities from this campground.  The state park campground does not have hookups and can't accommodate large RV,s.  Cotillion Gardens can accommodate big rigs to approximately 45ft(estimated).  Camp roads are paved and camp spots are crushed rock.  Most camp spots have shade from large redwood trees.

Local Recreation:

The Roaring Camp Narrow Gauge Railroad is located just a few miles from the campground.  Train tours and much more are available.  There is a small western town with shops and restaurants.  There is also a meeting hall/play house there.

The campground is in a great spot for launching hiking and biking activities into the adjacent Henry Cowell Redwood State Park.

The San Lorenzo River passes the campground and is a great spot for cooling off or fishing.

The Seacliff State Beach is approximately 15 miles from the resort. At Seacliff State Beach there is a pier with a sunken ship.  The SS Pablo Alto was purposefully sunk at this location in the 1930's and used for a short time as a tourist attraction.  In the 1930's tourists could board the ship however, that is no longer possible because it is unsafe.  Visitors now need to view the ship from the beach or pier.  See the Campbase Photos tab for pictures.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Pier are just 10 miles south on Highway 9.  There are all kinds of things to eat, see, and do on the Boardwalk.  There are numerous carnival rides including a roller coaster.  The pier is also right there.  Please see the Campbase Photos tab for pictures of the Boardwalk.
