Comment

Dumont Dunes is an off road recreation area.  This is dry camping, no hookups.  Most of the area near the entrance is hard packed sand and can be driven on with a large RV.  The nearest town is Tecopa, about 7 miles north.  Fuel is not available in Tecopa.  Tecopa is primarily known for the hot springs pools and baths.  The nearest fuel is at Baker, 30 miles to the south.  Pahrump Nevada is approximately 40 miles to the east of the campground.  Dahrump has gaming, fuel, markets, and restaurants.  Some of the sand dunes in the recreation area are up to 500 feet tall.  Camping is allowed anywhere within the riding area as long as it does not block travel on a road, and is limited to a 14-day stay.

Visitors to the Dunes need a pass for each vehicle driven into the dunes, not for your towed trailer and green sticker vehicles in your truck or trailer, but only for the primary vehicle you drive in with when you enter and exit.

The onsite fee machines at Dumont Dunes take credit cards only (NO CASH ACCEPTED ONSITE).

The area has no water, no trash cans, and no showers.
