Description

Oregon, Eagle Rock Campground in the Umpqua National Forest offers easy access to the North Umpqua Wild and Scenic River and scenic vistas of some outstanding rock formations.

Directions:

From Roseburg, Turn onto OR-138 E/NE Diamond Lake Blvd. Continue on OR-138 approximatley 16 miles until you reach the town of Glide.  Upon entering Glide the North Umpqua Ranger Station will be on your left.  

From the North Umpqua Ranger Station, drive Highway 138 east for 34 miles to Eagle Rock Campground, located on the left side of the highway.

Eagle Rock Campground has 28 camp spots available.  10 sites can be reserved, 17 sites are first come, first served.   Located at,1,600 feet on the North Umpqua River.  Rigs up to 30 feet can be accommodated.  The campground is open from Mid May to October.  All spots have large shade trees and paved parking pads.  Campground roads are all paved.  The campground is located on the Umpqua River with direct water access.  Vault toilets and drinking water is available.  The campground does have a few pull-a-round parking pads for rigs up to 30 feet.  

This campground does have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hat, insect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.
