Description

Washington, Fort Worden Historical State Park is located on Point Wilson near the Point Wilson Lighthouse.  The park has beach and Lighthouse access.

Directions:

Take Highway-20 into Port Townsend.  At Mill Road take a left and then an immediate right onto Discovery Road.  Pass through the traffic circle and continue on Discovery all the way up to Cherry Street and go left.  Cherry takes you into the park entrance but still a short distance to the campground.  Go right onto Pershing and then left onto Harbor Defense Way.  Go down the hill past the pier and the campground will be on the left side.

Fort Worden Historical State Park is one of the most popular campground that Campbase has seen.  Especially during the summer months.  We strongly recommend reservations.  Look at the bottom of this page for other nearby campgrounds.  Camp spots are by reservation only.  Do not occupy a site without first having that site assigned to you.  Visit the office at the Fort Worden Commons building 210 to check on available spots. The campground has 49 RV or tent camp spots.  Many of the spots are pull-a-round spots that can accommodate very large vehicles.  Campbase estimates that RV’s up to 80 feet can be accommodated in some spots.  Restrooms with showers are available in the campground.  There is also a small camp store available.
