Kentucky, John James Audubon State Park Note: The campground was closed for the 2020 season. Verify the park is open before you go.

Directions:

The park is located on US 41 in the northern outskirts of Henderson. It is 1/2 mile south of the US 41 bridge over the Ohio River and Evansville IN. The park is on the left heading south and the right heading north.

John James Audubon State Park is open from March through November with a lodge, tenting, and RV camping. The park is located on Scenic Lake. Its more of a pond than a lake and not suitable for power boats. Kayaking and fishing are the primary activities on this lake. The parks lodge has 51 rooms and several meeting rooms. The campground does have one pull through spot that is 61 feet long. Most spots are back-in and between 25 and 45 feet deep. This is an in-town campground with most services located right outside the parks entrance.
