Lawsons Landing is open all year with approximately 200 RV or tent camp spots.  The campground has camp spots near sand dunes, beaches, and the Tomales Bay in several different settings.  The Seawall spots face the bay and have direct water access.  There are Pier camp spots located near the fishing pier and West Beach camp spots near the beach sand dunes.  All spots are very nice and can accommodate almost any size vehicle.  The resort has a small market with ice, firewood, and fishing supplies.  There is a pier and a boat launch near the market.  A few water and electric camp spots are available but, most camp spots are dry camping.  Two RV dump stations are available in the park.  Cows do roam the park during the winter months eating the grass (See the pics).  If your arriving at the park after business hours during the winter months the entry gate may be closed.  The procedure for entry is to open the gate and find an available camp spot.  Close the gate behind you.  Pay in the morning at the entrance booth.  Cellular service was excellent, no WiFi.

Local Recreation:

The Point Reyes National Seashore is just across the bay from the campground.  However, by road the parks entrance is more than 10 miles away.  The national park has a lighthouse, beaches, and forests to explore.

Muir Woods National Monument is located approximately 35 miles from the campground.  There is an old growth redwood forest located there that has a walking path through it.  It's a great way to spend the day.
