Description

California, Oceano Campground, Pismo State Beach

North bound on highway 101 take the Grand exit ( also called hwy 227) and go left under the highway.  Travel approximately three miles to Pacific BLVD. ( also called HWY 1) and turn left.  Travel south on HWY 1 for 1.1 miles to Pier Av. and turn right toward the ocean.  The campground is .2 miles on the right.

This park is located farther away from downtown than the North Beach Campground but, it's closer to off-roading and the Oceano Dunes off-road area.  There are some services available on Pier Av. in front of the park.  Numerous ATV rental companies are located there.  

Off highway vehicle operation is not allowed in the park.  The park does not have ATV access to the beach.  However, pedestrian beach trails are available.

Beach Burger restaurant is located just outside the park entrance on Pier Av.  There is also a liquor store that has some camping and beach items.

There are some very nice sand dune walking trails that originate in the campground and travel through pristine sand dunes along the beach.
