Sunset Bay State Park Campground, is open all year with yurts, tenting, hiker/biker, and RV camp spots.  There are approximately 100 camp spots.  The campground does not have direct beach access however, the beach Is just a short walk away.  The campground is situated in a rugged coastal pine forest with most camp spots having shade.  It's one of the most scenic areas on the Oregon coast.  Full hookup camp spots are available for RV's up to approximately 35 feet.  Cell service is not available.  This is a remote area and there are no services available near the campground.  The closest services are available in Charleston approximately four miles from the campground.  A laundry was available in Charleston,

This campground may have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hatinsect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.

Local Recreation:

Beach combing is popular from this campground with easy access to pristine beaches located just across the highway.

Photography is also a popular activity.  The area has some of Oregons most spectacular forests and coastline.
