Description

California, Van Damme State Park runs along the Little River near the small town of Little River.

Directions:

From the town of Mendocino on Highway-1, proceed south on Highway-1 for 3 to 5 miles and the campground entrance will be on the right side.

Van Damme State Park is open all year with 74 tenting, hike/bike, group, and RV camp sites.  RV's up to 35 feet can be accommodated.  The campground is located in a small valley so cellular service may be limited.  It's situated on the inland side of Highway-1.  Beach access is across Highway-1 where there is a large sandy beach.  All Camp spots are large and well sized.  There are not many services in the area near the campground so bring everything you need with you.  The town of Mendocino is located approximately 5 miles North on Highway-1.  Mendocino has shops, restaurants, fuel, and markets.   Mountain Lions are known to be in the area of the campground so please use caution.

With beach access from the campground, beach activities are popular including Beachcombing, fishing, kayaking and scuba diving.
