Oregon,  West Winds Campground is Part of the Siuslaw National Forest.

Directions:

To Access from Pacific City, OR:Travel on Highway 101 10 miles to County Road 871 ( Sandlake Road). Turn right on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road) and travel 4 miles to stop sign. Turn left on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road). Travel for 1 mile and turn right on Galloway Road. Site is at the end of Galloway Road in the Sandlake Recreation Area.

To Access from Tillamook, OR:

Located south of Tillamook, OR on Highway 101, 11 miles to County Road 871 (Sandlake Road). Turn right on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road) and travel 4 miles to stop sign.  Turn left on County Road 871 (Sandlake Road), travel for 1 mile and turn right on Galloway Road.  Site is at the end of Galloway Road in the Sandlake Recreation Area.

West Winds Campground is primarily a big parkinglot for off-roaders.  No hookups, no electric.  Restrooms are available nearby.  The campground has direct access into the sand dunes.  There are three campgrounds in this area.  Look at our "Map" tab to see exactly where this one is located.  Approximately 20 RV camp spots are available.  Reservations are not available.  This is a first-come, first-served campground.  A few camp spots have fire rings.  The campground is open all year and does have heavy usage.  The camp spots do have direct access into the sand dunes.  The beach is nearby.  Pets are allowed but, must be kept on a leash.  The park has sensative bird nesting areas.
