Description

California, The Chula Vista RV Resort is located in Chula Vista off the I-5 freeway.  Exit at J street or Marina Parkway and proceed west bound toward the marina.  Take the bend in the road and turn left on Sandpiper Way.  Proceed on Sandpiper Way through the bend in the road and the park entrance will be on the left side of the road.  Total distance from the freeway is less than two miles.

This campground is on San Diego Bay with easy access from the I-5 freeway.  There are 237 camp sites available at this location.  This is one of the nicest campgrounds Campbase has seen in some time.  There are nice large camp spots with privacy fences and bushes.  The campground also has security patrols.  The safety patrols are seven days a week, 24 hours a day.  There is a pool and grocery store at the campground (see the photos tab).  The pool, laundry, and restrooms all require access keys.  Pets are allowed on 6 ft leashes only.  There are 3 pet stops in the resort.  Open wood fires are generally not permitted.

The campground is adjacent to the Chula Vista Marina.  Many camp spots have a view of the boats in the marina.  The marina has two restaurants and is in walking distance from the campground.  

Downtown Chula Vista is approximately two miles away and has numerous shops and services.

The Chula Vista Marina is on the south side of the park.  The campground is also adjacent to Bayside Park. 

There is a nice campground store inside the park.  Ice is available in the store.

Tent camping is not available at this location.

San Diego Bay has a 24-mile bicycle route called the Bayshore Bikeway.  The path runs right past this campground.  It's not a circular path, it's more of a U shape.  It goes all the way to the Coronado Hotel or in the other direction to the downtown area.
