Description

California, Junction Campground Lee Vining is the closest city to Junction Campground being approximately 15 miles away.  The campground is located in the Inyo National Forest.

Direction:

From US 395 at Lee Vining, go west on CA 120.  After you pass Ellery Lake on the left side of the highway, look to the right for Saddlebag Lake Road.  Take a right onto Saddlebag Lake Road and the campground will be one block up on the left. 

To access the campground there is a small bridge leading to the campground.  There is a RV length limit on the bridge of 25 feet for the RV.

Junction Campground is located at an elevation of 9600 feet.  This is a high altitude campground and may not be suitable for people with breathing difficulties.  Just 13 campsites near the Tuolumne Meadows entrance to Yosemite National Park.  Campsites will accommodate a 25 foot vehicle.  No drinking water is available. Pit toilets are available. 14 day stay limit. Each campsite has a bear locker.  Located on Mine Creek and Lee Vining Creek.  Camp spots are small, RV's larger than 25 feet are not recommended.  Most spots have shade trees.  This is a first-come, first-served campground.  There is one ADA site at this location.  This is an active bear area and they are active during the day.  Please keep all food secure and click that bear spray on the right side of this page.  The dirt camp roads make this campground a bit dusty.  No cell service, 

Campbase could not find campground open and closing dates however, the area may be inaccessable during the winter months due to snow.

The primary activity from this campground is touring into Yosemite National Park near the Tuolumne Meadows.  There is a visitors center there.  Campers also like the stream and lake fishing near the campground.
