Comment

Stony Creek Campground was under renovation during the Campbase visit in June 2014. It was CLOSED at that time.  Stony Creek does not have RV hookups.  RV hookups are not available anywhere in the National Park.  Stony Creek is a smaller campground with 48 RV and tent sites available.

Stony Creek Campground does not have cell service, shuttle service, Wifi, Dump station, or a camp store.  There are basically no amenities near by.  However, Stony Creek Village is located approximately one mile north of the campground on highway 198.

There are three gas stations in the National Park.  Kings Canyon Lodge, Hume Lake, and Stony Creek Village.  Diesel is available at the last two.  Campbase recommends filling your vehicles fuel tank before entering the National Park.

Dump stations are located at Potwisha, Lodgepole, Princess, and Dorst Creek campgrounds.  The closest to Stony Creek Campground is at Lodgepole Campground, approximately 6 miles away.

Bear boxes are provided in every campground in the park.  All food must be stored in these boxes unless it's kept out of sight in an RV.  Food may not be left out at any time.  Additional bear rules and information can be found at the restrooms.  Do not feed the bears at any time.
