Comment

Cove Group Campground is a single group tent campground only.  Reservations are required to use this campground.  The campground is private and has large facilities for groups including restrooms, large BBQ's, and large group fire rings.  It's across the street from Stony Creek Lodge where there is a restaurant, market, fuel, laundry, and showers.  Other than the lodge, the area is very secluded.  There is also Fir Group Campground located about a block north of this group campground.

There are three gas stations in the National Park.  Kings Canyon Lodge, Hume Lake, and Stony Creek Village.  Diesel is available at the last two.  The NPS map indicates that fuel is available at Grant Grove Village however, Campbase could not find a gas station at that location.  Campbase recommends filling your vehicles fuel tank before entering the National Park.

Dump stations are located at Potwisha, Lodgepole, Princess, and Dorst Creek campgrounds.  The Lodgepole Campground dump station is the closest station to this campground.

Bear boxes are provided in every campground in the park.  All food must be stored in these boxes unless it's kept out of sight in an RV.  Food may not be left out at any time.  Additional bear rules and information can be found at the restrooms.  Do not feed the bears at any time.
