Description

Wyoming, Atlantic City Campground, South Pass Area, Bureau of Land Management. The campground does not have an address however, the Campbase Map used here is accurate for the location of the campground.

Direction:

Atlantic City Campground is located on the west side of Atlantic City Road just one mile south of Hwy 28. Before the town of Atlantic City.

Atlantic City Campground

This is a fee site. There are 18 developed accessible campsites and some can accommodate large recreational vehicles. There are vault toilets, water, garbage collection and each site has a fire rings and picnic table. The neighborhood around this campground may seem quiet now, but in years past, this area was booming and densely populated with miners seeking gold, uranium, and other minerals. Great day trips from this area into the Wind River Mountains and around the various mining ghost towns. The campground is seasonal and closes early November to early June due to weather conditions.

The campground is located in Fremont County near the town of Atlantic City.

Facilities: fire rings, garbage collection, water (weather permitting), picnic tables, and vault toilet.

Fees: $6.00 per night, $3.00 per night for Golden Access holders.

Camp host (occasionally there is a host on site)

The campground is in Bear Country so, use standard bear precautions.
