Colorado, Difficult Campground

Directions:

Located 5 miles southeast of Aspen, Colorado, Difficult Campground sits on the banks of the Roaring Fork River on the western slope of the Colorado Rockies.  Take Highway 82 for 5 miles southeast of Aspen, Colorado. Look for US Forest Service, Difficult Campground sign on the right, past Mile Marker 45.

Difficult Campground has 46 camp spots available. Campsites are nestled in a mixed forest of aspen, cottonwood, pine.  ADA sites are also available.  RV's over 35 feet are not allowed.  Reservations are available on recreation.gov.  The campground is seasional being open from May through October.  RV hookups are not available, dry camping only.  Group camp sites are also available.  This is a high altitude campground located at 8,180 feet.  Most camp spots have shade trees.
