Take I-15 North to I-40 East, to Needles, California.

Exit on River Road (on off ramp turn left) then turn left again, and then head north approximately 25 miles.

Turning east on Casino Drive and go about 3 miles and you will see the Riverside Resort on the right hand side of Casino Drive.

 

When you enter the campground go left and down the block, take a right and the Campground Registration is right there.  If you arrive after six P.M. the front office will be closed.  Just pick a spot and fill out the form that can be found at the front office.  Return in the morning and pay for your spot. 

The campground is located across the street from the Don Laughlin Casino.  There are 740 spaces with full hook-ups, laundry and showers facilities.  Some camp spots have shade trees.  The extreme summer heat usually runs most RVers out of the area however, winter tempratures are excellent.  The campground is not on the Colorado River but is within walking distance.  The casino does have a boat launch available.  The campground is in a good location for accessing numerous casinos in Laughlin.  It's quite a fun place to visit.  There is a free shuttle service to and from the Riverside Resort.   There are Water Taxies that run up and down the Colorado River between the numerous casinos.  The water taxi is $4 each direction.  Camp spots are level and some spots have shade.  There is no wood burning and no fire rings.

Local Recreation:

 

In the evening, make sure you take a walk on the River Walk.  It runs between casinos along the Colorado River.  Great fun to walk between casinos.

 

Make sure you bring at least one float toy.  The Colorado River runs past the casino and the casino does have a launch ramp.  Use caution because there is a current of approximately six miles per hour.  An inflatable is good because you can float down river, deflate the float toy and walk or take a bus back to where you started.  Please see the right side of this page for some possible float toys.  Jet ski is and boats can also be used on this section of the river.  Jet ski is might be the best option since the water depth is close to six feet at most points.

 

For larger boats you will want to take them up on Lake Mohave.  Katherines Landing on Lake Mohave is just four miles from the RV park.  There is a launch ramp and services available at the landing.  Lake Mohave is a very long lake and you could spend days exploring it.

 

Finally, numerous casinos and restaurants are located within walking distance from the RV park.  The Don Laughlin Casino being the closest.  In addition to gaming the casino also has two wonderful car museums that are fun to walk through.  There is also bowling, arcades, and dance halls.  It's all quite entertaining actually.
