Description

Washington, Dungeness Recreation Area Campground.  This campground should not be confused with Dungeness Forks campground located in the national forest.

Directions:

Westbound on Highway-101 pass the small town of Sequim.  After a few miles look for Kitchen Dick Road(I’m not making this up). Take a right onto Kitchen Dick Road and travel approximately three miles north.  The road will take a Hard right turn and change to  Lotzgesell Road.  The parks entrance and sign will be on the left side of the highway in just a block.

Dungeness Recreation Area Campground is open all year with 66 RV or tent camp spots.  Half the camp spots are first-come, first-served.  The remaining spots are by reservation only.  The campground is located high above the beach on bluffs with a spectacular view of the bay.  There are only a few access paths down to the beach due to the steepness of the bluffs.  Mosquitoes were plentiful during the Campbase visit so bring protection.  The park is known as the portal to Dungeness Spit.  Pets are not allowed outside the campground.  The park has restrooms, Showers, drinking water, and a RV dump station.   This is a dry campground, RV hookups are not available.
