Description

Colorado, Glacier Basin Campground, Rocky Mountain National Park.  Glacier Basin Campground (8,500 feet) is near the town of Estes Park.  The address used here is a generic park address.  The campground does not have an address however, the Campbase map used here is accurate for the location of the campground.

Direction:

Take Highway 36 west from Estes Park, CO or Highway 34 east from Grand Lake, CO. Off the main park road, take the Bear Lake Road, which is near the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, and follow the signs to the campground. Glacier Basin Campground in approximately 9 miles from Estes Park and 5 miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station.

Glacier Basin Campground(8,500 feet) is adjacent to Estes Park in the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.  From lush valleys to craggy peaks with elevations reaching over 14,000 feet, visitors are provided with spectacular views.  The campground has a limited number of shade spots.  13 group camp spots are also available at the campground.

Free Wi-Fi access is available at Beaver Meadows and Kawuneeche visitor centers.
 
Cellular service is unreliable in most areas of the National Park. 
 
Food storage lockers are located at campgrounds throughout the park.  Use precautions for Black Bares and other animals,  Proper food storage is required.
 
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK requires a Timed Entry Permit.
To enter Rocky Mountain National Park between May 28 and October 11 two things are required.  1) A timed entry permit.  2) A park pass or entrance fee. RV dump stations are available at Glacier Basin, Moraine Park and Timber Creek campgrounds.
 
There are no laundry facilities in the park.
 
Shower facility are available at Moraine Park Campground and also outside the park.
 
There is a $20 entrance fee to enter the National Park.  The pass is good for one week.
