Mazama Campground, Crater Lake National Park is a seasional campground being open from June through October.  It's the larger of two campgrounds in the park and can accommodate RV's up to 50 feet.  Tent spots are also available.  Located at an altitude of 6,000 feet the campground has 214 camp spots available.  Here is a list of camping and lodging facilities near the park. Limited services are available in nearby Mazana Village.  The campground is located just inside the western entrance to the national park and seven miles from the craters rim.  Mazama Campground has the parks only RV dump station however, it may not be open if freezing conditions exist.  When Campbase visited in early July it was still closed.  It's best to enter the park with empty RV holding tanks.  Some large pull-a-round RV spots are available at Mazama Campground.  Most camp spots are shaded with a picnic table and fire ring.  Campground roads and parking pads are all paved.  The campgrounds restrooms don't usually open until the ground water can flow without freezing.  If freezing conditions exist the park uses portable toilets and the restrooms are closed.  Running water is usually available by the middle of July in the restrooms.  Fuel is usually available at Mazama Village near the campground however, it's a little more expensive.  It's best to fuel before entering the park.

This campground does have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hatinsect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.  When Campbase visited in June the mosquitoes were out in full force.

Campbase recommends you pickup the parks newspaper at the park entrance or at Mazama Village.  The paper has great details about all the parks activities.  Here is a link to the parks paper.

Boat tours on Crater Lake are usually available from July through August, weather permitting.  Call 888-774-2728 for reservation information.  Several different types of tours can be arranged.  The basic tour is a two hour, ranger-narrated boat tour.  Tickets are available by calling or from the kiosk at Annie Creek Gift Shop.

Trolley tours that circle Crater Lake can be arranged at Rim Village.  Tours lasting approximately 2 hours start and end there.  Tours go clock wise around the lake and stop at five different overlooks.  Each trolley has just 25 seats.  Tours do not run when the highway loop is closed due to snow.
