Description

Washington, Minnie Peterson Campground, Washington State Department of Natural Resources.

Directins:

From downtown Forks, proceed south on Highway-101.  After approximately 15 miles, take a left onto Upper Hoh Road.  Proceed East on Upper Hoh Road for approximately 5 miles.  When you see the Hoh National Park sign, the campground entrance will be on the left side of the highway.  It’s a circular drive so, if you are driving a big rig you can continue through the campground back to the highway without turning around or getting stuck.

Please see the Campbase map tab for the exact location.

Comment

Minnie Peterson Campground has just 9 RV or tent camp spots.  RV’s to 30 feet can be accommodated.  However, Campbase estimates that RV’s up to 40 feet can be accommodated in a few spots.  The campground is located across the highway from the Hoh River.  A “Discover Pass” is required in order to camp in this campground.  This campground is located inside the Hoh Rain Forest so it does receive a significant amount of rain annually.  If you plan to tent here, you should expect rain.  Bears and mountain lions are known to be in the area.  Make sure you bring mosquito repellents.
