Description

Summerdale Campground, Sierra National Forest, is located just 1.5 miles outside the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park.  

Direction:

Take Highway 41 north from Fresno, just past the town of Fish Camp. The campground is on the left side of the highway, 1.5 miles before the entrance to Yosemite National Park.

SUMMERDALE CAMPGROUND sits in a scenic wildflower-filled meadow, surrounded by fir, cottonwood and cedar trees. The campgrounds proximity to Yosemite makes it a good location for seeing the southern section of the park.  Yosemite Valley is approximately 60 minutes north on Highway 41.  The campground has 26 RV and tent camp spots.  RV's up to 24 feet can be accommodated, no big rigs.  Some camp spaces are 30 feet however, 24 is the campground limit.  All camp spots have shade trees.  A small stream runs past the campground.  This campground is seasonal being open from May through October.
