Description

California, Schoolhouse Campground is located on Marysville Road in the Bullard's Bar Recreation Area. It is about a one mile from Dark Day Boat Ramp and about 3 miles from Cottage Creek Boat Ramp.

Direction:

From Camptonville: Drive south on Hwy 49 to Marysville Road and turn right. Continue for 4 miles. Campground is on south east side of Bullard's Bar Reservoir.

Schoolhouse Campground is located on Marysville Road near Bullard's Bar Reservoir. The campground is approximately half a mile from the lake and does not have a lake view or direct access.  It is about one mile from Dark Day Boat Ramp and about 3 miles from Cottage Creek Boat Ramp. There are 56 campsites- 44 single campsites and 12 double campsites, flush toilets and one vault toilet, and treated potable water.  The campground is seasional being open from April 15 through October 15.  This is a great spot for swimming, boating, fishing, and water sports although, you may want to drive to the water.  There was good cell service.  Starlink worked in a limited number of spots due to overhead trees.  There were a few pull through and pull-a-round sites available.  Double sites were also available.  

This is a first-come, first-served campground.  Pay at the front of the campground when you arrive.  There is a campground host and a Flock camera at the campgrounds entrance.
