Comment

Cottage Creek Campground is quite an unusual campground.  It only has 9 RV only camp spots but, those spots are enormous.  Campbase has never seen such large parking pads for camp spots.  Double and tripple camp spots were available.  Most parking pads can accommodate several vehicles.  Motorhome, boat, truck, no problem at this campground.  See our photos tab for pictures.  Each campground has a bear box, picnic table, and fire ring.  Bears are common in the area.  Use caution and do not leave food out.  Cell service is generally good from this hill above the marina and dam.  Starlink works well from the campground due to a limited amount of large trees above the RV parking pads.  The road to the campground is paved but steep in some areas.  Pulling a boat up this hill will be a challenge for some trucks.

Local Recreation:

Boating and fishing are the most common activities from this location.  Numerous houseboats are rented from the marina below the campground.

There is also a beautiful non- motorized trail system in the area, with 5 different trails to choose from. Bullards Bar Trailhead is 14 miles, 7 Ball Trial is 1 mile, 8 Ball Trail is 3.8 miles, Rebel Ridge Trail is 1.6 miles and Schoolhouse Trail is 0.7 miles. Maps are available at the North Yuba Ranger Station just a couple miles east of the reservoir on Marysville Road.
