Description

California, Dark Day Campground is located 21 miles from Nevada City.

Direction:

From Camptonville: Drive south on Hwy 49 and turn right on Marysville Road. Continue for 5 miles. Campground is on Bullard's Bar Reservoir near the Dark Day Launch ramp.

Dark Day Tent Campground is located on Bullards Bar Reservoir at the launch facility within walking distance from the lake. There are 10 total campsites- tent camping only- 4 double sites, 1 triple site and 5 single sites.  It is possible to also park a small camping van or support vehicle in the tent parking at each tent site.   Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.  Wood burning may not be allowed depending on fire season.  Water and vault toilets are availble.  There is a launch ramp at this location but no marina.  The closest services to this location are at Emerald Marina, three miles from this location.  Cell service was good from this location.  Starlink may have problems with large overhead trees at this campground.
