California, Admiral Baker Field RV Park is located in a great central location for visiting San Diego attractions.  It's within walking distance from Qualcomm Stadium and Mission Valley malls.
 
Directions:
 
From Interstate 8: Take Mission Gorge Road to Friars Road and turn left. Continue on to Santo Road and turn right. Make an immediate right again onto Admiral Baker Road and follow it down the hill. At the bottom on the hill turn right into the parking lot.
 
From Interstate 15: Exit Friars Road East. Follow Friars Road to Santo Road. At Santo Road turn left. Take an immediate right onto Admiral Baker Road and follow it down the hill. At the bottom on the hill turn right into the parking lot.

This is a military campground that is now open to the public.  The campground is well taken care of with large grassy areas.  It's a great central location near Qualcomm Stadium.  Nights are a bit quiet in this campground because there are no fire rings and most campers are inside their RV's.  If you are looking for a quiet campground at a good rate, this is your place.  It's nice, clean, and the amenities are good.  There is a golf course at the campground however, it's for military use only.

The WiFi was free but the login screen did require your credit card number therefore, Campbase declined to use the service.  In our opinion, a free service should not ask for a card number.

There is so much to do in San Diego it's difficult to pick what to do next.

No tenting, no cabins.
