Colorado, Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park

Directions:

Eastbound from the town of Cortez on Highway-160, travel 8 miles to Ruins Road.  Note, its also the Mesa Verde National Park Exit.  At the top of the ramp, go left.  Cross over the freeway and take a right turn continuing on Ruins Road.  The park will be on the left side in one block.

Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park is in a convenient spot for accessing the Mesa Verde National Park.  It can accommodate big rigs to just about any size with full hookups.  Cable TV is not included however, the air TV reception is good.  The park has restrooms with showers and a small laundry.  There is a camp store with ice and some of the essentials.  Propane is available.  Park entertainment includes a pool, mini golf, and a playground.  Camp roads are all gravel and crushed rock.  Many spots have shade.  Camp spots are mostly level.  The park also has tenting and cabin sites.  

Note: National park(NP) roads are steep and winding.  Campbase does not recommend driving your big rig over most park roads. The first four miles to the NP campground are accessible however, pull trailers are not allowed past the NP campground(4 miles in). The NP campground has limited(15) full hookups and are usually un-available.  Therefore, camping at Ancient Cedars is a good option for those with tow vehicles to access the NP.
