Bolsa Chica State Beach is close to the board walk, beach, and the Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve.  There are only 57 RV campsites available at this location, no tenting.  Reservations are difficult to get in the summer.  There are some 40 foot spaces.  There are just two rows of parking.  The front row or the back row.  The back row is about $15 cheeper.  See the RATES tab. This location has a bit of noise from vehicle traffic on PCH.

Reservations can be made at 1-800-444-PARK (7275).  Make sure you bring your bicycle.  The camp ground is right on a bike path that runs along the beach and links twenty miles of bike trails.  Downtown Huntington and the Huntington Pier are just a short peddle to the south of the campground.  Make sure you bring the bikes and surfboard to this one.

There is a dump station in the park (see pics).  Just one shower is available.

Bolsa Chica Campground is an RV campground, no tenting, no cabins.

Please click here for a short “Ride Through” video on the campground.

Local Recreation:

Biking or walking on the boardwalk that passes the campground is very popular.  This bike path extends south for approximately 10 miles and then turns up the Santa Ana River and travels another 20 miles northeast to near the town of Yorba Linda.  The path can also be taken southbound to Newport Beach and the excellent activities in that area.

Surfing and beach activities are popular from this camp spot.  Spend the day on the sand relaxing or in the water.

Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are both located approximately 10 miles from the campground.  It’s worth spending a day at each location.

Just a few miles south can be found historic old downtown Huntington Beach.  There is a Pier there and hundreds of shops and restaurants to visit.
