Buckskin Mountain State Park Campground is open all year with 68 RV or tent camp spots.  21 camp spots on the river have cabanas.  These cabana spots are primarily for tenting and van campers.  Larger RV's park in the water and electric sites.   All camp spots have river access.  There is a launch ramp with a small seasional market(camp store).  There is a second market located just outside the campground a mile north on highway-95.  The campground has a long beach on the Colorado River with grass and shade trees.  Camp roads and parking pads are all paved.  Campbase estimates that RV's up to 50 feet can be accommodated.  Well controlled pets are allowed.  It's a great little campground in the perfect location for exploring the Colorado River near the Parker Strip.  Most services including fuel, markets, and restaurants are available in Parker, five miles to the south on Highway-95.

Local Recreation:

The campground has a family beach.  Located below Parker Dam on the Colorado River, there is a current so please use caution.  The area is known as the Parker Strip.

The Lightning Bolt trail starts near the entrance station.  It's a great little trail for seeing some great views on the hill above the campground.

Boating and fishing is popular from the campground.  It's a boaters paradise with boating beaches available all along the Colorado River.  The park has a boat launch ramp.

Parker Dam is just off Highway-95 a few miles north of the campground.  RV's are not allowed on the Dam, just cars allowed.  Please see our photos tab for a picture.

London Bridge is located 20 miles to the north of the campground in Lake Havasu City.  It's a great spot to visit and spend the day.  There are restaurants and bars located near the bridge.  Please see the picture of the bridge in our photos tab.

Also visit the Blue Water Resort and Casino located in Parker along the river.
