Bucksport Fork Knox KOA is a seasional campground being open from May through October with RV and tent camp spots available.  Camping cabins are also available.  The park has full hookups, restrooms, showers and a laundry.  There is also a small campground store that has the essentials.  Most camp spots have full hookups.  Cell service is generally good in the area.

Local Recreation:

Its a good spot for seeing the sights in the local area including Downtown Historic Bucksport, Fort Knox, Acadia National Park, and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge.  Downtown Bucksport is a great spot to see the old buildings, harbor and Fort Knox across the river.  There are shops and places to have a meal.  If you travel a short distance to the Penobscot Narrows Bridge you can go up in the Observation tower for a great view of the river and local area.  Beside the bridge is old Fort Knox.  Take some time and see the old fort, its very interesting.
