Drirections:

The park is located in the 800 Block of the Lincoln Highway(Highway-50) in the small town of Dayton.  Northbound on Highway-50 entering Dayton, look for the parks entrance on the right side after approximately one mile.

Comment

Dayton State Park is located on the Carson River with direct river access.  The park features the remains of the Rock Point Mill built in 1861.  The park is open year around with just 10 RV or tent camp spots.  Sites have picnic tables, BBQ's, and fire rings.  Restrooms and drinking water is also available.  Swimming is not allowed near the cannals and head gates.  Fishing is ok.  Off-roading is not allowed in the park.  Summer tempratures range between 80 and 100.  Rv's up to 34 feet can be accommodated.  Cell service is generally good in the area.  This is dry camping, no RV hookups available.
