Fox Campground Lake Casitas  The Campground is open all year with approximately 46 RV camp spots, no tenting.  Each camp spot has a paved parking pad, electric, and water.  All camp spots are back-in.  These are large spots and RV's up to approximately 50 feet can be accommodated.  Portable toilets were available.  This campground is located right across from the campground store making it very easy to walk over and pickup anything you may need.  The camp store has propane, ice, firewood, drinks and all the essentials.  Campground roads are a mixture of paved and dirt.  Most camp spots were very large with some shade.  There are two launch ramps nearby and each is about a mile away on the camp road.  There is a cafe and bait shop near the Santa Ana Boat Ramp.  The paved part of this ramp no longer reaches the water due to the California drought.  During a high water year, this campground would be along the water.  This campground does not have a shower facility however, one is available near the parks entrance.

Local Recrestion:

Lake Casitas boating and fishing.  Lake levels are down but, there is still plenty of room for boating.  The lake is known for its great bass fishing.

Lake Casitas Water Adventure.  There is actually a small water park located inside the recreation area.  It's only open during the summer months but looks like it would be great fun.  There is a Lazy River for floating on your inner tube.  Shade trees are located inside the Water Adventure.

Lake Casitas Model Airport.  There is a small model aircraft airport located inside the recreation area.  It's primarily for remote control aircraft.

Downtown Ojai is just 5 miles from the campgrounds entrance.  The downtown area has restaurants, shops, and hotels.  Golf is also available at Soule Park Golf Course.  There is also a bike path(The Ojai Valley Trail) that starts near the downtown area and goes all the way to the beach.

Point Dunes Beach is located just 12 miles to the Southwest near downtown Ventura.
