Colorado, Garden of the Gods RV Resort

Directions:

From the intersection of Interstate 25 and Highway 24 in Colorado Springs.  Take Highway 24 west towards Manitou Springs.  In approximately 1.5 miles take a right on S 31st Street.  Then take a quick left onto W Colorado ave.  Travel west on W Colorado avenue for approximately one mile.  The campground entrance will be on the right.

Garden of the Gods RV Resort is a seasonal campground with approximately 120 RV and tent camp spots.  Cabins are also available.  The campground is open from May through September.  It's a great location for accessing recreation in the Colorado Springs area.  The campground has full hookup and pull through camp spots.  Most camp spots have shade trees.  Campground roads are paved and each camp spot has a picnic table.  Big rigs to 65ft can be accommodated.  Smaller tent camp spots are also available.  A campground store is available with all the essential items including ice.

Local Recreation:
 
Downtown Manitou Springs is just a short walk from the campground where you will find restaurants, coffee shops, and arcades.  There are also numerous small shops selling souvenirs.  A city bus is also available for the short ride.  There are also several public mineral spring fountains in Manitou(see the photos tab) where you can taste the spring waters.
 
Garden of the Gods, located nearby, is designated as a national natural land mark.  It's a great place for a short bike ride or walk.  It's a beautiful natural area deserving of its name.  Click here for a Garden f the Gods time-lapse video.
 
The Pikes Peak Cog Railroad is located just a short distance from the campground in Manitou Springs.  The cog railroad takes passengers up to the top of Pikes Peak.  It's a fantastic ride through forests and up the steep sloops of Pikes Peak to 14.000 feet.  It's a great ride for the entire family.
