Grand Canyon Camper Village is located in the city of Tusayan near the south rim entrance to the Grand Canyon.  It's about a 10 minute drive to the South Rim from the campground.  The campground has all the conveniences provided by the small town of  Tusayan.  Tusayan has walking paths on both sides of the street making it convenient to access from the campground.

The funnest thing about this campground is that it is located right in the town of Tusayan.  There is the IMAX, steak houses, Mexican food, pizza, and much more all within a very easy walk on the towns sidewalks.  It's really convenient and fun.  See the Photos tab for some restaurant pictures.  Also see our Grand Canyon National Park information page for additional information.

The campground is open year around.

Note:  the campground has a limited number of sites that are equipped with fire rings.  These sites need to be requested when you register.  The camp store has firewood and ice.

Reservations are accepted at the campgrounds web site provided here.

The National Park's free shuttle bus operates in Tusayan from late May through early September each year.   It's really convenient to take the free shuttle into the park.  Each buss can Cary three bikes on the front bike rack.

Campbase.com visited this campground in the spring when temperatures were still in the twenties at night.  The waterline to the RV froze solid.  The campground recommends disconnecting the water line to prevent it from bursting.  Most camp spots do not have shade.  Big rigs to just about any size can be accommodated.
