Comment

Harris Beach State Park Campground is open all year with approximately 150 yurt, tent and RV camp spots.  Most camp spots are shaded, camp roads are paved.  Camp spots are large, some can accommodate big rigs up to approximately 40 feet.  The park has full hookups, restrooms, and showers.  An RV dump station and RV water fill is also available.  The camp spots do not have direct beach access however, the beach is located within a short walking distance from the campground.  Downtown Brookings is located approximately one mile from the campground where most services including fuel and markets are available.

This campground may have mosquitoes.  Depending on the time of year, they can be quite a nuisance.  Campbase recommends a mosquito mesh hatinsect repellent, and a mosquito net awning to sit in.  If mosquitoes bother you, these items are essential for this location.

Local Recreation:

Road touring on Highway-101.  This section of Pacific Coast Highway is spectacular.

Beachcombing is popular from the campground because a nice sand beach is right there.  Tide pools are also located near the park.  Occasionally there is wildlife on the rocks and beach including seals.
