California, Holiday Harbor Shasta Lake Resort and Marina

Directions:

Northbound on Interstate-5, Cross over Lake Shasta and travel an additional 3 miles on Interstate-5.  Take the Shasta Cavern Road exit.  At the bottom of the off ramp, go right and follow the winding road around for approximately one mile.  You will see the campground and marina sign.  Take a right into the campground.

Holiday Harbor Shasta Lake Resort and Marina.  The lake was near full pool during my visit in 2026.  The campground has approximately 29 full hookup RV camp spots above the lake.  Some spots have a lake view while others do not.  Camp spots are a bit "shoe horned" together due to limited level space available.  Most spots are level with shade trees.  There is a bath house and laundry available.  Camp roads and parking pads are crushed rock.  Road access to the campground is very tight.  Although there were numerous large rigs in the campground.  Fortunately, the resort isn't far from the interstate so you will only be driving a short distance on winding/narrow roads.  My recommendation is smaller rigs under 22 feet.  There was cell service in the campground.

Note: The campground was full during my visit in early May.  Summer reservations may be difficult to get.

Shasta Caverns is located approximately one mile from the campground.

Houseboats can be rented at this marina.

Fishing and boating are popular from this location with a marina and boat docks available here.
