Lake Camanche South Shore Recreation Area features hundreds of tent and RV camping sites spread out over hundreds of acres which are available year-round.  Cottages and lodges are also available.  This place is enormous, it has everything.  Many sites offer immediate lake access while others are just a short walk away.  In addition to the lake there is a small trout pond that has direct camp site access.  Campsite amenities include bbqs, picnic tables, drinking water, hot showers, restrooms and laundry facilities. Primitive sites are just a short drive away to restrooms and showers.  Single, double, and tripple camp spots are available.  Sites have natural species plants and trees.  South Shore features alcohol-free campgrounds, perfect for those in search of a more family-friendly camping experience.  Short and long term camp spots are available.  Camp roads and camp spots were all paved and level.  Campbase estimates that big RV's to just about any size can be accommodated.  Cell service was good from the campground.  Starlink functioned well with limited overhead obstructions.

The recreation area has the following campgrounds:  Sugarloaf, Camanche and Arrowhead, Oaks, Riverview, Gold Run, Lakeside, Moccasin, Cottonwood, Coyote Flat, and Monument RV Park.

Fishing licenses are required.

Reservations are available on the parks website provided here.
