California, Oceanmesa Campground

Located across HWY 101 from the El Capitan State Beach.  Access to the beach is through the state beach.  It's a short bike ride or walk.  Oceanmesa has numerous campsites located against a wilderness area.  The campground has two markets and is located just 20 minutes from Santa Barbara.  Use exit 117 or the El Capitan state beach exit.

There are:

- 20 tent camping sites 
- 80 R.V. sites with a breakdown as follows:
- 32 pull through sites (up to 50 feet)
- 20 back in sites (up to 50 feet)
- 28 back in sites (up to 35 feet)
- All R.V. sites have full hook-ups with 50-amp service
- All R.V. sites can accommodate "slide-outs" on both sides of the coach
- All campsites have a fire-ring with grill and a picnic table

Comment

Great place to stay with all the amenities.  Lots of fun activities in the area including jeep tours, kayaking, or wine tasting.  Talk to the front desk, they were very helpful.  Also, 101 RV rentals is located in the area and they do rent RV's.  When I visited this site I was only able to stay one night but, it was great fun.  The Canyon market was a fun walk for food or ice cream.  They have numerous camp cabins or bungalows on the site.  Most are very nice little cottages.  You won't even need an RV or tent.  The best part is that it's an easy drive from LA.
