Description

New Mexico, Percha Flats Caballo Reservoir.  The campground has easy access from Interstate-25.  The park is located in a rugged, arid, but, not quite desert area.  From the park there are beautiful views of the lake and Brushy Mountain.

Directions:

Northbound on Interstate-25, just south of the small town of Oasis, take the Highway-187 exit(EXIT 59) and go North for less than a block.  Take a quick right onto Riverside Park Road.  The primitive camping area entrance will be on the left side.

Percha Flats Caballo Reservoir is open all year with approximately 20 tent or small RV camp spots. Primitive camping only.  The camping area is a bit remote without any services in the general area.  Camp spots are located along the lake with lake access.  Great spot for boaters because of the sheltered beach.  Shade spots are limited so bring a shade awning.  This is a primitive camping area, big rigs are not recommended.  Campbase recommends rigs no larger than 25 feet(recommended).  The park also has an RV campground available, see our links below.  The campground does have cellular service depending n your carrier.
