Description

New Mexico, Riverside Campground Caballo Lake State Park.  The campground has easy access from Interstate-25.  The park is located in a rugged area.  From the park there are beautiful views of the Rio Grand River and Brushy Mountain.

Directions:

Northbound on Interstate-25, just south of the small town of Oasis, take the Highway-187 exit and go North for less than a block.  Take a quick right onto Riverside Park Road.  Follow Riverside Park Road along the dam into the campground.

Riverside Campground Caballo Lake State Park.  The campground is open all year with RV and tent camping spots.  Approximately 54 electric sites and 20 electric and water sites are available.  A few sites also have a sewer connection.  Located just below the Caballo Dam at 4,400 feet.  The campground is situated along the Rio Grand River with some camp spots being right along the river.  Most spots have shade trees.  The park has full hookup sites and just electric sites available.  The closest services, including fuel, are available approximately 8 miles away in the town of Williamsburg.  Boating, fishing and lake activities are available nearby behind the dam.  For reservations click on the web site link provided above.

Ralley group sites are available at the campground.  Rally sites have seating for 170 people, 20 picnic tables, 40 square feet of grills, and 60x60 foot group shelters.  Reservations are required for group sites.
