California, Petersen's Tecopa Palms RV Park

Directions: From Los Angeles
 
Take hwy 10 east to hwy 15 north, to Baker.  Exit at Kelbaker road or hwy 127.  Go north on highway 127 for 48 miles.  Turn right (east) at Old Spanish Trail. At Tecopa town center, turn left (north) on Tecopa Hot Springs Road. The resort is 2.5 miles ahead, just past Elias Way turn left into the campground.  Look for the sign.
 
Note:  Don't turn on Elias Road, it's about one block before Elias Way.

Comment

Petersen's Tecopa Palms RV Park has approximately 25 RV camp spots.  Cabins are not available.  The park has it's own hot springs with private baths.   Most camp spots are level with full hookups.  The restrooms and private baths were clean.

Local Recreation:

The town of Tecopa is popular for its mineral hot springs.  Some are said to have healing powers.  There are four public and private hot springs in the town of Tecopa.
 
The Amargosa River Canyon (protected Wilderness) is popular for hikes and exploration and runs from “downtown” Tecopa to Sperry Wash, just outside of China Ranch Date Farm.
 
China Ranch Date Farm is a working date palm farm and the starting point for some of the most spectacular hikes in the area (a short 8 mile drive from the campground).
 
Dumont Sand Dunes is just 7 miles from this campground.  The dunes are popular for off-roading activities.
Road touring into Death Valley National Park is popular from this location.  
 
Mountain biking is popular on the many trails near the campground.
 
Rock hounds can find all kinds of cool rocks in the areas surrounding the campground.
 
Massage is also available adjacent to the campground.
