Description

California, Rivers Edge RV Resort has easy freeway access. 

Directions:

Exit Interstate 8 at Winterhaven RD. And proceed to the southeast on Winterhaven.  The campground will be within one mile.  Use caution, Winterhaven is on both sides of the freeway and it crosses the freeway in two spots.

Rivers Edge RV Resort is open year round with approximately 500 RV camp spots.  The campground is located on the Colorado River just minutes away from Yuma, Arizona.  There is water access however, Campbase recommends not swimming in this area due to moving water and reed covered banks.  The resort has shade trees and paved resort roads.  Parking pads are crushed rock and level.  The resort has a mix of extended stay and daily campers.  Winter is the busy session at this resort due to the excellent winter weather.  High summer tempratures tend to drive campers out of the area.  Big rigs to 50feet+- can be accommodated.  A large pool, jacuzzi, and game room was available.  Cell service was available.  Downtown Yuma, Arizona is just one exit East on Interstate-8 where fuel, markets, and restaurants are available.  

Pull through camp spots were not available.  Camp spots did not have a fire ring.  

Local Recreation:

The Colorado River runs right past the resort however, the area is more suited to kayaking than large power boats.  Fishing is popular from the banks of the resort.

Just a few miles to the west of the resort is the Imperial Sand Dunes.  This is a large off-roading area that has camping but, no full hookups.  Rivers Edge is one of the closest resort/campgrounds that has full hookups and services for RVers.  Buttercup is the closest entry point to the dunes.  See our information page here.

Quechan Casino Resort is just one exit to the West of Rivers Edge.  The casino has gaming and restaurants.
