Directions:
From Carmel:
Big Sur Riverside Campground and Cabins is located 22 miles south of Carmel By The Sea
on Highway One.  Driving time from Carmel/Monterey is approximately 45 minutes.  If you pass the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, you have gone to far south.
 
From the South and L.A Area:
 
Take 101 north to San Luis Obispo, then Hwy 1 north to Big Sur. The campground is located 1.5 miles north of Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park on the left (west) side of highway 1.

Comment

The campground and cabins are nestled among the Redwood trees near Big Sur State Park.  Located on the Big Sur River, there are water activities available including tubing.  There are 40 total camp sites.  The maximum RV length is 34 feet.  Beach access is a short drive from the campground.  There are restaurants, services, and fuel within a mile of the campground.

Tenting is available at this location.

RV camp spots have electric and water.  A dump station is not available.

Campground roads are gravel.

Cell service is poor to none in the area of the campground.   WiFi is not available.
