Description

Pennsylvania, Round Bottom Camping Area.  Note: This is is BIKE-IN/HIKE-IN campground only.  No vehicle access.

Directions:

From the intersection of the Layton Bridge and the Great Allegheny Passage, take the trail SouthEastbound for just over a mile.  Look for the campground sign on the left side.  There is also a vault restroom there.  Its also five miles South of Comnnellsville on the Great Allegheny Passage.  Located at mile post 99 of the Great Allegheny Trail.

Round Bottom Camping Area is on a section of the Connellsville Trail and just to the south of the YRT trail section.  This is is BIKE-IN/HIKE-IN campground only.  No vehicle access.  The campground has direct bike trail access.  A vault toilet and NON-POTABLE water are available.  The campground has rain shelters, a picnic table, and fire ring.  Cabins are not available.  Its a nice spot for overnighting on the Great Allegheny Passage.  The campground is managed by the Regional Trail Comission.  This campground has a TWO night limit.  Reservations are not available.  Just 5 camp spots are available.  This campground is open all year.  

Note:  There is also the Uniontown KOA located two miles north of the campground on the Great Allegheny Passage Trail.
