Comment

South Fork Recreation Site, Sequoia National Forest.  Tent and RV camp spots are available.  Big rigs of all sizes can be accommodated.  There are two camping areas.  The first area is up near the highway and has picnic tables and fire rings.  This area is best for tenting because there are no RV parking spots near the Highyway and restroom.  Another camping area at the recreation area is down near the lake.  Many RVers camp right along the water.  This open camping, camp spots are not defined.  This area near the lake does not have picnic tables, fire rings, or restrooms.  The parking surface is not always level.  In addition, roads down to the water are often rough.  A boat launch ramp is available.  Water levels on Lake Isabella were very low during the Campbase visit in late 2015 as you can see from the Campbase pictures.  Several trees protrude from the water.  Reds Kern Valley Marina was located here when the water levels were higher.  The marinas present location is at Old Isabella Road.

The Lake Isabella Visitors Center is at: 4875 Ponderosa Drive, Lake Isabella, California, 93240
