Description

California, Sycamore Canyon Campground, Point Mugu State Park.  

Directions:

The Campground s located 15 miles south of Oxnard on Highway 1(Pacific Coast Highway).  Southbound, the entrance to Sycamore Canyon Campground will be on the left side of the highway.

Sycamore Canyon Campground  is open all year with approximately 60 RV and tent camp spots.  The RV Campground is seperate from the tent campground and has approximately 20 RV camp spots.  It's an area with additional paved parking.  Most camp spots have shade.  All camp spots are dry camping.  A dump station, restrooms, and drinking water are available.  RV's up to 31 feet can be accommodated.  The campground is located across Highway 1 from the beach and ocean.  Poison oak is in the area and childeren should be warned.  Across Highway 1, on the beach is located Cycamore Cove Campground.  It's another campground at the Point Mugu State Park.  Reservations are available by clicking the links provided here. 

Special note: The incoming gate to the campground closes at 10:00 P.M. 

Local Recreation:

The beach is a popular activity while visiting this campground.  

Highway 1 that runs past the campground is popular for road biking.  The bike lanes are in good shape and the views are great.
